01. Intern – Procurement
The key purpose of the Job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for procurement of raw materials for confirmed orders
2. Ensure delivery schedules, quality specifications, and process requirements
3. Ensure achievement of inventory and cost targets for the assigned category /customer account, through optimal ordering, reduction of write-offs, and other costs.
4. Liaise with suppliers and concerned internal stakeholders for ensuring the achievement of OTD, OTT, inventory, process adherence, and supplier performance objectives.
5. Prepare MIS, documentation, and reporting for functional procurement activities
Education
Undergraduate in Textile or Clothing Technology or Materials Management or any other relevant stream.

02. Intern – BCIP – Batticaloa
Key purpose of the Job
The Intern – BCIP is responsible for the implementation of the assigned BCIP initiatives /projects at the SBU Centre / Plants. Includes coordination with the concerned teams for effective project implementation, facilitation of BCIP training initiatives, monitoring /reporting of project benefits realization, and execution of assigned special BCIP initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for implementation of the assigned BCIP initiatives /projects at the SBU Centre / Plants.
2. Collaborate with the relevant internal and external stakeholders for the achievement of the functional objectives.
3. Prepare MIS and reporting for all BCIP functional initiatives, as per the procedure.

03. Intern – Product Development (Merchandising)
The key purpose of the Job
As an Intern – Product Development (Merchandising), you will be responsible in assisting the execution of the sample development process (sampling /costing) for the assigned styles. This includes supporting the timely submission of samples, costing and T&A plans to maximize profitability in close coordination with cross-functional internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure necessary support in sample development, costing, price negotiation, and communication with the customer
2. Ensure necessary support in the execution of the entire development process from tech pack to sample dispatch
3. Strictly adhere to the Time & Action plan and achieve 100% OTD on sample delivery
4. Liaise with internal/external cross-functional teams whilst building lasting relationships with the customer

04. Intern – Textile Testing
Scope
You will be reporting to the respective KAM (Key Account Manager) and supporting to daily testing activities. Accuracy is the essential tool you should maintain while learning critical test methods and regulations. You should be able to understand global clients’ testing requirements and failure effects while testing fabrics and garments. Your work should comply with global laboratory testing regulations.(ISO 17025:2017)
Responsibilities
- Work under a senior supervisor in a particular Testing Lab section (Chemical Testing Lab, Physical Testing Lab, Colour Fastness Lab, Washing/Shrinkage Lab, etc…)
- Conduct textile testing accurately.
- Conduct routine verification tests on selected items/products.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Study the Global Laboratory Quality Management System (ISO 17025: 2017) and ensure all activities are carried out complying with its requirements.
- Maintain Turn Around Time (TAT) within the agreed time frame.
- Reconcile the remaining tested samples and hard copies after testing and store them as per the client’s requirements.
- Maintain the stock level of lab consumables & other requirements without affecting daily usage.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Textile/Apparel Technology from any of the below institutes. University of Moratuwa/NDT/ Open University SL, SLITA or Brandix Corporate Campus
05. Intern – Engineering
The key purpose of the Job
As the Intern – Engineering, you will be reporting to the Deputy General Manager – Engineering of the SBU. You will support and drive the automation function through planning, scheduling and executing projects in order to achieve desired outcomes and uninterrupted factory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist to drive and recommend to the management on cost reduction initiatives, efficiency improvement initiatives, and plant improvement projects related to automation whilst ensuring maximized asset utilization.
- Liaise with Internal and External stakeholders to achieve effective project implementation by introducing new and modifications of existing machinery,
- Prepare conceptual designs and 3D models/prototypes whilst designing and fabricating relevant components pertaining to automation initiatives.
- Support the installation and commissioning process of new machinery while assisting the plant machine maintenance crew with troubleshooting through operational training.
